Planning the Perfect Trip to Asia
This project presents a colorful and user friendly website. My goal was to design a helpful and visually attractive website using the design platform Figma. I chose to create a website that would help travelers plan a trip with easy steps. The design concept was based off cultural elements with a warm color palette. The design highlights traditional Asian art, shades of red, gold, and orange to display authenticity. I learned how to ensure my colors followed digital guidelines like simplicity, contrast of colors, and organization. I also learned to create a website layout for a desktop as well as a mobile friendly version.

Process
When I first started this website I chose to create one that would help promote Go Ahead Tours and my target audience was travelers of any age who would like to take a trip to Asia. My goal was to help travelers plan a visit without all the stress, and where they should start, with the help of a travel agency. Next I created a list of steps they should follow.
Step 1: Choose a Destination
Decide what type of location you are looking for.
Look into the weather.
Look for events you would like to attend in the area.
Step 4: Plan Schedule
Choose the cities you want to visit.
Plan events or trips for each day.
Take note of key attractions in the area.
Look for eating destinations and the type of food that is served.
Step 2: Decide Travel Dates and Duration
When is the best time for you to take your trip?
Choose a season you would like to visit Asia.
Step 5: Download Helpful Apps
Make your trip easier by downloading apps such as translation apps, city maps, and messaging apps.
Step 3: Budgets and Flights
Contact your bank and let them know you are traveling abroad.
Know your budget limits and plan how much you can spend daily.
Find budget-friendly housing.
Have extra spending money for personal needs
Step 6: Cultural Tips
Before going to Asia, learn common cultural norms, such as how to dress in certain areas, how to behave properly, and public norms.
Sketches
Next I created sketches of how I wanted my website to look and I created different versions.
Elements
For the elements of the website I used my icons that I created from my other project and images from the Go Ahead Tours website. I also used the generative fill setting in adobe to help me create the building cutouts.
Layouts
I digitalized my layouts and picked the one that was most succesful.
Typography
Below are the two types of fonts I chose for my website.
Color Testing
Since this was for a website I need to make sure my colors followed the guidelines for a digital screen.
Final Color Palette
These are my final colors that I chose to go with that are incorporated in my whole website.
